Thanks Jack - We're of the same era. A little note on Forbes Field. On game days when school was out I would leave our home (East End) with 15 cents bound for a Pirate game. The 15 cents wasn't for admission but for streetcar fare 2 ways and a pay phone call. Then a walk down Forbes hoping to hear that question "Hey kid - you want a ticket to the game?" Parents today might shudder at the thought but folks with tickets they couldn't use often would do this.
